Stanacard's SmartDial technology is exactly what customers need these days and we expect an extremely rapid growth in our retail business.
New York (PRWEB) October 7, 2009
Stanacard, LLC, a leader in low-cost international calling, and Quick Dial, Inc., a leading international VoiP provider, today announced that Quick Dial has joined StanaCard's patent licensing program. Quick Dial will now be able to offer Stanacard's unique calling technology to its customers worldwide.
"As an established wholesale telephony provider, we have been evaluating ways to enter the retail market, and looking for a unique technology that would give us an instant competitive edge over traditional services like calling cards," said Vlad Baum, president of Quick Dial, Inc. "Stanacard's SmartDial technology is exactly what customers need these days and we expect an extremely rapid growth in our retail business."
The SmartDial technology lets users direct-dial international friends, family and professional contacts by simply dialing a local number, which intelligently connects the call to its international destination. This avoids the need for PIN codes or access numbers, which are used by standard telephone calling cards and services.
Said Anastasia Koroleva, CEO of Stanacard, "Quick Dial is one of the world's most reputable wholesale VoIP providers and we are proud to welcome it into our patent licensing program. In our mission to spread low-cost, convenient calling worldwide, a prominent company such as Quick Dial will further increase the number of customers switching away from overpriced international calling services, such as Skype and calling cards."
Stanacard continues to pursue legal actions against Rebtel and Jajah, which Stanacard believes to be infringing on its SmartDial patent (cases: 'Stanacard, L.L.C. v. Rebtel Networks, AB et al', 1:2008cv04859, NY Southern District Court; Jajah Inc vs Stanacard, L.L.C., 5:2009cv00580, California Northern District Court). Stanacard is in the process of stopping such operations via court injunction as the two companies continue their alleged infringement.
StanaCard is a global leader in low-cost international calling. With its patented 'SmartDial' technology, commercially launched in 2004, it allows customers to direct-dial friends abroad - while only dialing a local number. SmartDial gives users a free, permanent local number for each foreign friend, allowing the convenience of speed-dialing them from a mobile phone - without paying the premium international rates of a mobile phone company.
