Keeping your heating and cooling system in tip top shape will now also help keep a local family in their home. With their new charitable campaign, "A Perfect Cause," every time Naperville-based Perfect Air Heating & Air Conditioning performs a Clean & Check heating/cooling system tune-up, the company will donate $50 to an area family facing serious economic hardship.
The father of this family of six young children passed away tragically in 2008 after contracting a rare and debilitating disease. The mother is battling thyroid cancer, and their five-year-old daughter is epileptic. Although the family receives Medicaid, they are one step away from financial ruin. Their home is virtually all they have left.
Perfect Air looks forward to helping this family move forward. Moreover, it seems appropriate to President Justin Carrol to bundle this effort with something every homeowner needs - an annual heating/cooling system tune-up.
"Every heating and cooling system needs an annual tune-up. Even new systems are not immune," he explained. "These frequently are not installed correctly and therefore don't operate at the efficiency the homeowner paid for. But if this system is properly maintained, homeowners can save themselves a ton of trouble, not to mention nearly double the life of the system, saving hundreds if not thousands of dollars."
What's more, the HVAC system is the largest contributor to global warming in most homes. It is not uncommon for an air conditioner or furnace to run at 25% - 50% of its rated efficiency. Homeowners can potentially decrease their carbon footprints by having Perfect Air tune their systems to peak operating efficiencies.
Carrol has been overwhelmed by the enthusiasm of his employees for this campaign. A Perfect Cause will begin immediately, with no expiration date in mind. The company hopes that A Perfect Cause will resonate with their customers and catch on within the greater community. Ideally, as word of the campaign spreads, more homeowners will contact Perfect Air for their annual Clean & Check, and the benefits of A Perfect Cause will continue to spread.
"This is really snowballing into an awesome thing," Carrol said. "As the project grows, we'd like to help as many people as we can. We just want to give back to our community."
