Superhero Old Spice Swagger Commercial Blasts Off With a Cool Huge Cash Prize

Just as summer comes to a close, so too has the Old Spice® "Swaggerize Your Wallet" competition -a user-generated contest that awarded thousands of dollars to consumers who went the extra mile to show off their Swagger® style. The contest ran for two months and in the spirit of Old Spice, all challenges relied heavily on a sense of humor while calling for the creative use of the brand's popular Swagger logo.

Hundreds of hilarious photo and video entries were submitted to for the 20 one-of-a-kind challenges, ranging from a Tony Stewart's look alike contest to fast-pitching some Old Spice deodorant. The biggest challenge was to direct an Old Spice Swagger commercial, with a grand prize of $10,000. The winning video, chosen by a panel of Old Spice representatives, hails from Oregon and contains a unique sense of swagger style plus some super sweet lasers.

The Adventures of Swagger Man begins on a quiet day in the suburbs of Anytown, USA. There is a boy sitting on a couch watching TV when a "breaking news alert" abruptly flashes across the screen. The local news anchor informs viewers that aliens have invaded downtown and calls for anyone with "the Swagger" to come save humanity. Upon hearing this plea for help the boy applies his Old Spice Swagger deodorant, transforms into the superhero "Swagger Man" and blasts off for downtown. Shortly after arriving at the destroyed metro area, Swagger Man is able to vaporize the alien space ships with giant red laser blasts that explode from his swaggerized armpits. The evil alien invasion is thwarted and humanity is saved from annihilation thanks to the magic of Old Spice Swagger - and of course, "Swagger Man."
