New group brings together investors, entrepreneurs, executives, advisors, brokers, and professionals to share profitable opportunities and expand business connections throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia.

The Virginia Business and Investment Network (VABIN) is a new online group for investors, entrepreneurs, executives, advisors, brokers, subject matter experts, and professionals that facilitates networking, brainstorming, and the sharing of profitable opportunities throughout the Commonwealth.

In addition to the statewide group, VABIN features five subgroups, including VABIN Central Virginia, VABIN Northern Virginia, VABIN Coastal Virginia, VABIN Shenandoah Valley, and VABIN Southwest.

VABIN leverages technology to make the statewide group and its five regional subgroups effective in ways not attainable by traditional networking organizations, which are often constrained by budgets, scheduling, geography, and the intersection of interests, and rely on a large degree of chance.

"VABIN membership is free, but it is strictly limited to business people who live or work in Virginia," says VABIN founder, John Fedewa. "This keeps the group focused and ensures that discussions are all conducted within the same assumptions of Virginia law and business standards."

Initial features include user-driven discussions, aggregated business news, jobs postings, and searchable membership rosters---all available at both the statewide group and regional subgroup levels. Members may also choose to receive daily or weekly group news digests, and may enable instant notification whenever a topic of interest is updated by another member.

Topics for discussions vary widely and may include product or service announcements, requests for expertise, event listings, job openings, sales leads, investment opportunities, business ideas, regulatory advice, tax matters, and beyond.

"If it pertains to business and making money in Virginia, you can find it on VABIN," say Fedewa.

According to Fedewa, VABIN will unveil additional offerings in the future, including events, virtual trade shows, and publications.
