Matthew Peterson debuts brand new program "The Author Hour: Your Guide to Fantastic Fiction on the VoiceAmerica Variety Channel.

On October 15th at noon eastern time, Matthew Peterson will release to the public the first of many exclusive radio interviews with world-renown authors of popular fiction. Terry Pratchett, Eoin Colfer, Anne Rice, Meg Cabot, Charlaine Harris and Diana Gabaldon are some of the international best-selling authors who will appear on Peterson's new show in the next few weeks. The Author Hour: Your Guide to Fantastic Fiction will air every Thursday on VoiceAmerica, the world leader in live Internet talk radio.

The debut episode comes at an exciting time-just three days after the release of Eoin Colfer's highly anticipated 6th volume to the late Douglas Adams' Hitchhicker's Guide to the Galaxy entitled And Another Thing. Mr. Colfer will discuss how he was chosen to finish off this popular series and how his New York Times best-selling Artemis Fowl novels helped.

Terry Pratchett, one of the most-read authors in the world with over 65 million books sold, will start off the show discussing his satirical Discworld series, which have won prestigious awards such as the Carnegie Medal, Mythopoeic, Prometheus and British Fantasy Award and have also been adapted for radio, theater, TV, feature films, video games and comic books. Terry Pratchett was diagnosed with a rare form of early-onset Alzheimer's in 2007, and he will reveal how this disease has affected his life and career.

Other guests on the first episode include Jody Lynn Nye and Piers Anthony. Ms. Nye will share her experiences of co-authoring books with Anne McCaffrey (Doona, Ireta and The Ship Who Sang series) and the late Robert Asprin (Myth-Adventures series). Piers Anthony, one of the most popular fantasy writers in the world, will talk about his New York Times best-selling and pun-filled Xanth series, which have reached millions of readers.
