Wendy Stevens, who knows what it's like to walk on and win, after nearly two years of preparation, is launching her new book, Walk On, and retiring from her full-time network marketing career.
As a struggling single mother, Stevens used the walk on skills she learned as a former NCAA Division I National Champion and stormed the world of network marketing, becoming a multimil-lionaire and number one earner in her industry in record time.
Stevens then established "6 Figure School," a network marketing training company, by partnering with Loral Langemeier, the New York Times bestselling author, who is a regular on "Dr. Phil" and featured in The Secret. Langemeier wrote the Foreword for Walk On, citing Stevens as a leader who can "prepare you to 'walk on' to your next level of success in life."
Now, Stevens has signed a book deal with the Resolute Creative agency to launch her next title Walk On, and to pursue her passion to teach, train, coach and mentor individuals to live their best life.
A Legacy of Success: As a collegian, Stevens' fiercely competitive spirit and work ethic en-abled her, first to walk on to the fabled lacrosse team at the University of Maryland, then to lead it to a national championship as captain, MVP, All-American and, later, member of the U.S. Team.
Having reached the pinnacle of her sport as a champion, Stevens' insights into the nature of peak performance enabled her to win the head coaching job at Vanderbilt University in spite of having no formal coaching experience. Stevens went on to architect the team from scratch and mold it into a top 20 team in less than two years.
A Passion to Coach: "At heart I'm a coach," Stevens says, "and there are three things a coach must do in order to create champions:
1. "Teach mindset: we win between our ears before we ever win between the goalposts.
2. "Drill skillset: the fundamentals that we must execute with passion and perfection day in and day out.
3. "Build teams: create the climate and expectation that brings out the very best in everyone."
A Page to Turn: Stevens states, "I'm grateful for the friends I've made, the incredible financial independence network marketing allowed me to secure, the opportunities it has afforded me to grow as a speaker and trainer, but most of all I'm grateful for all the people it has allowed me to coach to become financially independent just like me."
Joann Webster, President of Resolute Creative, who has coached "New York Times" bestselling authors, sports figures and speakers, states, "We are thrilled to see Coach Wendy focus on speaking, coaching, and training others who, like her, have to reinvent themselves, and create their own place at the table of success. Her upcoming book, Walk On will show people how to walk on and win!"
Loral Langemeier says, "Wendy Stevens is an inspiring speaker, go-getter and a savvy business woman. Wendy will share a new way of thinking that you must learn."
