Cortina Asset Management, an independent investment firm with multiple small cap strategies focused on emerging and established growth companies, has hired James Klaus as Director of Institutional Services & Portfolio Management. Klaus brings over 10 years experience as a portfolio manager and client service specialist.
As Director of Institutional Services & Portfolio Management for all three of Cortina's Small Cap products, Klaus will work closely with the investment team while providing enhanced service to Cortina's existing institutional clients in the U.S. and abroad.

Klaus comes from Wells Capital Management where he served as a Senior Relationship Manager on Tom Pence's Fundamental Growth Equity team. During Klaus' tenure, assets under management grew from $3 billion to $13 billion. Prior to Wells Capital, Jim served as Vice President for Institutional Services & Portfolio Management at M & I Investment Management Corp. He received his B.S. degree in Economics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and M.S. degree in Finance from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
