After reviewing more then 100 salons and over one thousand images, Salon Today Magazine, a publication for the salon industry, named The James Joseph Experience, on their Salons of the Year 2009 List.
The application process was rigorous, as each applicant submitted photos and essays, to demonstrate why their salon was a "soulful space." A panel of editors and art directors scrutinized each application, and selected a group of finalists. After careful review, the winners were chosen, and The James Joseph Experience was recognized with this distinguished honor.
The Chicago area salon was chosen for their creatively in designing their space using unique materials, creating inspiration, and an environment that uniquely addressed their target market's needs. According to Salon Today Magazine, the James Joseph Experience "Played Homage to Pop Culture."
"Our internationally and nationally trained stylists are highly artistic, spending at least an hour to design cuts that compliment the client's unique bone structure," comments owner, James Joseph. "I like to focus on creating powerful shapes and color depending on the unique client, instead of giving a systemized haircut. About James Joseph:
James Joseph launched his career nearly 30 years ago, studying under Vidal Sassoon in London, England. After learning the art of sculpting hair in Paris and Milan, he opened a salon in Chicago. It was one of the first salons in the area to specialize in cuts and color. He also went on to consult with major companies, assisting in designing new hair styling products, and worked with many models and celebrities. Joseph currently operates a salon in the Chicago area, and has a cosmetic line, which is available in major department stores across the country.
