Marketo, the revenue-focused marketing automation company, today announced the appointment of Jeff McCarthy to Vice President of Client Services. McCarthy's responsibilities include customer enablement, training, product support and consulting services for organizations of all sizes. He brings nearly 20 years of experience and a proven track record of developing and managing world-class client services programs within the enterprise software industry.

"I was immediately impressed by Marketo's game-changing innovation, phenomenal market growth and thought leadership in the industry," said McCarthy. "The value that Marketo delivers to customers can only be enhanced as we further develop and refine our service offerings to complement those provided by our partners. I am excited to join Marketo's world-class leadership team and to be a part of Marketo's growing community of customers and partners."

Marketo has experienced record-setting growth and momentum since signing its first customer 18 months ago. The company recently announced its 250th customer win and Series-C "Up-Round" financing as well as being named a top lead management vendor by an influential analyst firm. Marketo Lead Management, rated the "Best Marketing Automation" solution by Salesforce customers on the AppExchange, and Marketo Sales Insight, the only sales effectiveness solution that combines online behavior tracking with analytics to focus resources on the hottest leads and opportunities, are removing the barriers that have traditionally impeded sales and marketing collaboration.

"Since our inception, we have been singularly focused on arming organizations of all sizes with the technology, tools, and industry best practices needed to quickly and seamlessly ignite explosive revenue growth at every stage of the revenue cycle," said Phil Fernandez, President and CEO at Marketo. "The addition of Jeff McCarthy will allow us - together with our partner community - to continue to meet and exceed the needs of our enterprise customers, extend our global reach, and expand our service offerings to key vertical markets."

McCarthy has a long-standing history of innovation, having developed and managed client service programs for a variety of leading enterprise software companies. Prior to joining Marketo, McCarthy was Vice President of Customer Success for Leverage Software, a leading provider of enterprise social networking software. Previously, he was the Enterprise Consulting leader at Adobe Systems and Director of Client Services at Oblix. He has also held senior positions at A.T. Kearney and Morgan Stanley & Company.
