38 Degrees Ale House & Grill in Alhambra Kicks Off 1st Annual L.A. Beer Week with New Hoptoberfest Event
Hoptoberfest, a new fall tradition from 38 Degrees Ale House & Grill in Alhambra, will kick off the 1st Annual L.A. Beer Week, an 11-day event celebrating beer culture in Los Angeles and Orange Counties. The downtown Alhambra ale house, located at 100 West Main Street, will offer an IPA/Oktoberfest celebration of beers on Saturday, October 17, 12noon to 7:00 pm.
Alhambra, CA (PRWEB) October 15, 2009 -- Hoptoberfest, a new fall tradition from 38 Degrees Ale House & Grill in Alhambra, will kick off the 1st Annual L.A. Beer Week, an 11-day event celebrating beer culture in Los Angeles and Orange Counties. The downtown Alhambra ale house, located at 100 West Main Street, will offer an IPA/Oktoberfest celebration of beers on Saturday, October 17, 12noon to 7:00 pm.
Along with the opportunity to experience many different rare varieties of ale and beer, 38 Degrees will offer traditional German platters and some not-so-traditional German entrees, all prepared by the restaurant's chefs with signature 38 Degrees flair.
"It is our pleasure to participate in the 1st Annual L.A. Beer Week," says Clay Harding, a co-founding partner of 38 Degrees. "Our kick-off event will be a lot of fun for beer connoisseurs or anyone who just loves the Oktoberfest tradition. Our patrons will get to taste some very unique beers, paired with great German-style food."
Among the beer offerings will be an impressive selection of IPA's (India Pale Ales) such as the superb Pliny The Elder from Russian River Brewing Company, and a special release of Stone Double Dry Hopped Ruination. Among the thirteen German-style draughts offered will be the Paulaner Salvatore Doppelbock and the Spaten Oktoberfest.
Hoptoberfest diners will enjoy traditional Oktoberfest and German-influenced menu fare including salmon with hops béarnaise sauce, beer-simmered bratwurst with sauerkraut and onions and whole grain mustard, dark ale beef stew, braised German short ribs and egg noodles, and more, with German Chocolate cake for dessert.

Following the Hoptoberfest event, the next special event at 38 Degrees will be a Crown City Brewery RIP party on Wednesday, October 21, with two CCB beers on draught one last time.
