USA Bank Names New Chief Internal Auditor

Port Chester, New York community bank appoints thought leader as Chief Internal Auditor. Thomas Packwood was awarded a business method patent for auditing innovations.

USA Bank is pleased to announce the appointment of Thomas R. Packwood as Chief Internal Auditor.

Mr. Packwood brings with him an impressive record of accomplishment in public accounting, internal auditing and risk management.

"Tom has demonstrated tremendous skill and innovation during his career," said Ronald J. Gentile, President & CEO of USA Bank. "We are delighted to have a professional of his caliber in charge of our internal audit functions."

Prior to coming to USA Bank, Mr. Packwood was Senior VP/Chief Internal Auditor for Union State Bank in Orangeburg, New York. During his 15-year tenure at Union State, Packwood invented a risk reporting method that rated levels of risk in each of the bank's departments. The idea was so unique that it earned a patent from the federal government. Mr. Packwood also did a tour of duty with Deloitte & Touche early in his career.

"It is exciting to be at a young community bank," Packwood said. "Plus, the Westchester and Fairfield County markets are very dynamic, a great place for this next step in my career."

Mr. Packwood is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of The Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA). He received his B.S. in Accountancy from Villanova University.
