Combined company brings Transolid and Mystera brands together to offer greater surfacing selections and more distribution points.

Transolid, Inc., a leading surfacing supplier for residential and commercial markets, and Hudson Solid Surfaces International, LLC, manufacturer of Mystera Solid Surface, are pleased to announce their merger.

The new company, Transolid, LLC, will blend the strengths of both companies to deliver even more high-quality surfacing products at an affordable price.

"There are numerous advantageous synergies by bringing our organizations together," said Tim Meharry, former President of Transolid, Inc. and the new CEO of Transolid, LLC. "The combination exponentially increases our avenues for growth."

"We have the opportunity to analyze and gain from the economies of scale in manufacturing, management, and distribution," said Meharry.

The Transolid ( and Mystera ( brands and product offerings will remain intact, operating under the umbrella of the new company. In addition, the North Carolina division of Transolid, LLC will be relocating from Mooresville, North Carolina to a larger facility nearby in Linwood, North Carolina. Mystera will continue to be manufactured in its Catoosa, Oklahoma facility.

Known for its wide selection of vanity tops and solid surface shower walls and pans, Transolid products are available at over 2800 retail locations nationwide. Hudson Solid Surface has led the industry with its Mystera product, a unique veined solid surface material.

"Transolid brings the expertise of a highly qualified and dedicated sales and engineering team while Hudson has a history of innovative product development," said George Saxby, former President of Hudson Solid Surfaces and now President of the combined company.
