The partnership leverages BNS' and Mitel's expertise with state of the art hospitality technology solutions to provide hotel guests with an integrated one-touch service for both in-room entertainment and telephony that are delivered over a common IP infrastructure.
Using Mitel's 5360 IP phone's color LCD touch screen panel, hotel guests are able to navigate and select any hospitality and HD infotainment service from BNS' RoomWise in-room IPTV system, which makes viewing and ordering hotel services easy, intuitive and immediate and does away with bulky and hard to update guest service compendium.
Integrating the two services also gives a new life to Mitel's IP PBX system as it enables guests to use their remote control to activate their in-room IP phone to make a call.
By putting all major service descriptions on the HDTV, it will enhance overall hospitality experience, and encourage more consumption of hotel services as it puts hotel guests just one touch away from speaking to hotel staff about ordering or finding out more about the item that caught their eyes on the TV screen.
