The inaugural issue of OM The Sound of the Universe magazine, published by DesignKala, is set for release the third week of October 2009. This cross-cultural magazine features the finest in creative expression, including thought provoking writing, photography, art, and design covering a wide variety of topics.

Special feature articles will highlight unique places to visit, health and nutrition, enhancing beauty the natural way, and opportunities to become involved with local and global communities.

Although the world is digitally connected through the internet and other technologies, there still remains a gap in cultural-connectedness.

It is the intent of OM magazine to lessen that gap by providing an opportunity for readers to experience and relate to the cultural wonders our world has to offer.

"This magazine is truly a labor of love, and it is a privilege to present our expression of 'human culture'," says Rashmi Pandey-Eddins, the magazine's editor.

OM will be distributed at local Charlotte health food stores, ethnic grocery stores, restaurants, yoga studios, bookstores, coffee shops, health and beauty spas, libraries, and educational institutions.
