Business Training Library was pleased to recognize the outstanding employee training and development achievements of three distinguished clients at their annual client conference, Align 2009, held in St. Louis, Missouri, September 21-23, 2009. Award recipients include SouthWest Water Company of Los Angeles, California, SMS Holdings of Nashville, Tennessee, and Educational Media Foundation, of Rocklin, California.

Business Training Library recognized the outstanding achievements of SouthWest Water's complete turn-around of their internal training program, to realign with critical organization goals, including a growing need for management development and compliance training, with the 180-Degrees of Excellence Award. SouthWest Water Company provides a full range of professional water, wastewater and public works services, providing clean water for more than a million people and over 350 clients in 9 states: Alabama, California, Colorado, Georgia, Mississippi, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Texas and Wyoming. Publicly traded on the NASDAQ, the company employs approximately 1,300 talented and dedicated employees. Partnering with Business Training Library in 2007, SouthWest Water looked to realign their training and development program with their organization's strategic goals, values and vision. Determined to make a direct impact from the top down, they defined valuable metrics for compliance and leadership development initiatives to measure their success. As a result of their efforts, SouthWest Water Company has made great strides in implementing changes in the organization and increasing communication among their entire management and leadership teams.

SMS Holdings, founded in Nashville in 1988, received the 2009 Learning Leader Award. SMS Holdings is one of the leading providers of security, risk management and environmental services for the nation's aviation, healthcare, hospitality and retail industries. They currently provide services to over 385 facilities in 42 states and the District of Columbia, employing more than 13,000 dedicated workers. Educational Media Foundation, recipient of Business Training Library's Revitalization Excellence Award, is a not-for-profit organization that operates the K-LOVE and Air 1 Christian radio networks, founded in 1980. Our partnership began in 2007, when they began a pilot program to create an online university for their employees' development. As time passed, and their pilot program stalled, their dedicated team regrouped and targeted a new group of users to take advantage of the resources available. Educational Media Foundation has gained a lot of momentum for their program by developing unique marketing materials and themes to engage and interest their employees in our online development resources. With the dedication of a small internal team and their account manager at Business Training Library, Educational Media Foundation has nearly doubled the number of employees who have access to their employee training programs, and have achieved an incredible 80% average participation in a completely voluntary employee training program.

The Align 2009 Conference was a tremendous success, bringing together e-learning clients from across the nation to learn more about Business Training Library's services and solutions, as well as share best practices and strategies with one another. "Our clients are the ultimate experts on using our products and technologies to achieve business value. The Align conference allows us the opportunity to bring our clients and partners together, so we can all continue to raise the bar and drive bottom-line results in our organizations," said Dean Pichee, President and CEO of Business Training Library.
