Austin, Texas (PRWEB) October 22, 2009
WebWorks.com, a brand of Quadralay Corporation, the leading developer of publishing platform solutions for delivery of online content, yesterday revealed a prototype of an integrated Web browser and feed reader capability in the ePublisher interface.
Although not currently scheduled for deployment in a future release, the prototype was unveiled to members of the fast-growing ePublisher user community at the annual WebWorks RoundUp Conference, held in Austin, Texas, to showcase development ideas and elicit feedback from customers and industry experts attending the event.
Part of the prototype design includes a preliminary integration with Google Docs, which theoretically should allow customers to work toward combining both collaborative authoring and publishing to multiple formats from within a single interface.
"Adding the feed reader to ePublisher caused a small cascade of ideas such as the Google Docs integration," explained WebWorks lead developer Jesse Wiles.
Alan J. Porter, VP-Operations, added that "showcasing these new ideas and prototypes at the RoundUp Conference continues our philosophy of working with the ePublisher and corporate publishing communities to develop the best solutions to help them deliver the content they want in the way they need, for a fast-changing business environment."
Attendees at this year's RoundUp Conference also had the chance to submit, and vote on, ideas for features and functions to be included in the ePublisher 2010 road map, giving customers an opportunity to have a direct influence and voice in the way that ePublisher will develop over the next twelve months.
