To empower people with disabilities to enjoy self-directed, personally meaningful lives by providing outstanding consumer controlled services and by advocating for effective community change. As a Center for Independent Living (CIL), TRCIL serves thousands of people in Allegheny, Armstrong, Beaver, Butler, Lawrence, Washington, and Westmoreland counties with satellite offices in Erie, New Castle, and Washington, Pennsylvania for the provision of specific services.
The Fashion show was funded by the Disability Pride Dinner Sponsors.

Madonna Long who is known as your girl on the Hill, received the Ruth & George Brenyo Achievement Award. Madonna is also a paraplegic; she was injured during her senior year of high school in a bus accident. She did not let that stop her as over the years she has become an advocate for issues concerning mobility. She posts important information on her blog keeping individuals informed on the issues on Capital Hill that she is working on. She has a degree in Homeland Security.

Madonna is also the editor of Chloe Magazine, http://www.chloemagazine.com, who was a small sponsor for this event as well. Chloe Magazine is a unique semi-annual publication which combines "traditional" women's content with issues, people and stories that are relevant to today's "Woman with a Disability." She is also a proud Navy Mom.

"We at Flexiciser™ are happy that we could fly in from California to be at this event to see Madonna receive this award. She is also an advocate for Flexiciser™ and of our Flexiciser™ Movement Therapy Device, as she herself is using the equipment, and has seen what a difference it has made in her life. We also were happy to meet staff and individuals living at the facility who are also our customers as Three Rivers Center for Independent Living bought two of our Physical Movement Therapy Devices in early 2009, and are looking to add more...This facility is outstanding as are the staff that work there", says Bryan Mallindine, Flexiciser™ President.

"The Physical Movement Therapy device by Flexiciser™ has given several TRCIL staff members and consumers with spinal cord injuries or paralysis the opportunity to move their lower extremities for the first time in many years. They've reported that their circulation has improved and they've been able to exercise muscles that haven't been worked out for long periods of time," says Terri L. Adams, Public Relations Specialist for Three Rivers Center for Independent Living and TRCIL Services Inc. in Pittsburgh, Pa.
