Salim Nathoo, Republican candidate for State of New Jersey General Assembly District 17 makes a pledge to cut the salaries of all elected politicians in the State of New Jersey by at least 25%.
Piscataway, New Jersey. - At a filming on the Spotlight on Candidates on PCTV. GOP GAssembly Candidate Salim Nathoo, pledged to reduce the salaries of all state elected officials by at least 25%. District 17 consists of Franklin, Highland Park, Milltown, New Brunswick, North Brunswick and Piscataway in the Middlesex and Somerset counties.
Nathoo said that the choice is clear, the people of New Jersey are losing their jobs and are worried about putting food on their table. Yet the politicians keep on collecting their pay checks. This is not fair.
Nathoo went on further and said that some politicians in fact collect multiple pay checks. If elected he will put an immediate end to this practice.
Nathoo also said that it is time to elect "public servants and not politicians " if the people of New Jersey want to see a change. He also said "if you keep on electing the same individuals, how can you expect change"?
