Baffled car insurance quote-seekers can benefit from the personal touch for advice and information.

Post Office Car Insurance is advising that some confused consumers may need to seek personal assistance in selecting their choice of cover due to the wide range of car insurance policies on offer.

A recent Defaqto report has revealed that with over 140 providers offering more than 200 car insurance policies to consumers, car insurance policy seekers could well be feeling baffled and overwhelmed at the choice on offer.

Recent figures from a motor insurance report also shows that 41 per cent of consumers use the phone1 as a way to buy car insurance - although online purchase of car insurance is still the most popular channel at 51 per cent.

Additional research shows 41 per cent of consumers are anxious about using credit cards to make online purchases due to security fears over credit card fraud . As a result, motorists are often keen to speak to an adviser either over the phone or face-to-face when sorting out car insurance.

To meet motorist's needs there are a variety of methods are available when arranging car insurance. For example, the Post Office offers a service where customers can sort out their car insurance online by filling in a simple form, speaking to someone on the phone, or face-to-face at around 300 Post Office branches nationwide.
