NitroDesk Inc., the makers of TouchDown, a popular Microsoft® Exchange server synchronization solution for Android-powered devices, have announced the general availability of the fourth generation of TouchDown in Android Market. The latest version builds upon the previous releases by adding several new capabilities to the existing product. Among the new features are: support for HTML email for clients connecting to Exchange® Server 2003, support for email flagging, embedded images in HTML, backup and restore of settings, Email Filters and a new Conversation View.

"TouchDown Version 4 is the culmination of a year of listening to our customers. We have been constantly improving the product in response to customer requests, and we believe that Version 4 establishes TouchDown as the best Exchange® synchronization solution available on the Android platform. We hope that our users find the latest version to be rich in functionality when compared to similar solutions on any mobile device platform. As we prepare to celebrate a year of innovation on TouchDown, we look forward to taking the product much farther, pushing the limits of what is possible on a mobile computing device." said Goutham Sukumar, Founder of NitroDesk Inc.

Apart from several significant fixes and minor improvements, the latest generation of TouchDown enables HTML view of emails for those customers who connect to Exchange® 2003 servers using ActiveSync® protocol.

A new filter option has been added to the Email View, which enables customers to filter the email list by importance, attachments, conversation, read status and flags. Choosing the Conversation View lets users browse emails by conversation threads, with unread threads highlighted. This enables customers to screen emails by thread more efficiently.

The new message flagging option allows users to flag, mark as complete, as well as unflag messages right from the mobile device, leading to better productivity and prioritization.

TouchDown also now works with ActiveSync® servers such as Zimbra, Kerio and even synchronizes with Google Apps accounts which have ActiveSync® enabled.

System Requirements
TouchDown requires Exchange® Server 2003 SP2 or above to be running in the organization, with any one of three protocols (ActiveSync®, Exchange® Web Services or Exchange® WebDAV) available and exposed over the internet.
TouchDown also works with some non-Microsoft® servers such as Zimbra and Kerio. It has also been tested to work with Google Apps accounts which have ActiveSync® enabled.

Pricing and Availability
NitroDesk TouchDown is priced at USD 19.99 and is available for download and purchase directly on the device from Android Market.
In celebration of its one year anniversary, NitroDesk is offering TouchDown at a reduced price of USD 9.99 for a limited time.
Customers who already hold licenses to TouchDown can get all upgrades free of charge.
