Former Spyns Clients Band Together to Create a Site Dedicated to Helping Others Avoid Cycling Tour Pitfalls
2009 Tour de France, Spyns tour-goers unite in solidarity to create a website to help others better prepare for selecting an oversees cycle tour company. With the projected fervor around the 2010 Tour de France possibly reaching an all time high and attendance record, the former Spyns clients set out to create a site that helps others with advice, tips, and tricks for selecting the best cycling tour company to fit their needs. The website can be found at spyndled.ning.com and contains photos, videos, articles, and other helpful resources.
Broomfield, CO (PRWEB) October 22, 2009 -- 40 former clients of a Vancouver, BC based touring company have banded together to create the site www.spyndled.ning.com to help others make informed decisions around selecting the proper cycle tour company for oversees travel. With increased attention being paid to the Tour de France due to the re-emergence of Lance Armstrong to the event, more and more Americans are contemplating hiring a cycle tour company to help them experience the race first-hand.
Jessica Telligman, an attorney from North Carolina who is looking to travel to France in 2010 stated, "The site is a great vehicle to get the word out and provide others valuable information about selecting a tour company prior to contracts being signed and deposits made." Telligman, who had a negative experience during a recent trip to France hopes others find the site and use it to their advantage.
The site has already produced a slurry of forum posts pointing out past negative experiences with cycle tour companies--inspiring others to come forth with tips, helpful advice and recommendations. The main author for the site, Jarrod Krug, also a former Spyns client hopes the site will become a collaborative resource that may help "self-regulate" the industry. "The profit and stakes are so high with these types of trips that we felt we had to act in order to keep tour operators in-check. We just felt it was the right thing to do." states Krug.
The official launch of the site is October 24th offering public commenting and new collaboration features. The site can be found at spyndled.ning.com.
