Toronto, ON (PRWEB) October 22, 2009
i4i Inc., a world leader in the design and development of collaborative content solutions and technologies for life sciences is pleased to have Keith Thomas participate in the DIA Canadian conference.
Mr. Thomas's presentation - "Electronic Labeling: A Comparison of the FDA, EMEA, and Health Canada" compares and contrasts the approaches being taken to electronic labeling by the three named regulators.
By examining key aspects of the FDA's Structured Product Labeling (SPL) and the EMEA's Product Information Management (PIM) initiatives Thomas will discuss the differences and challenges associated with each regulatory body pursuing different regulatory objectives. Although this makes it difficult for coordinating information globally, there are advantages within XML that can facilitate the management of global labeling information.
Thomas' session details are as follows:
Wednesday November 4, 2009, 8:30 - 10:00 am
