the Bay Area's most modern theater
San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) October 21, 2009
The Historic BAL Theatre Grand Re-Opening Saturday Nov 14th 2009 in San Leandro CA. Originally billed as "the Bay Area's most modern theater," the local press described the new BAL Theatre as "dazzling" and "lavish" when it opened on July 1, 1946. The BAL Theater included a replica of the sidewalk at Grauman's Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, complete with hand and footprints of Hollywood stars. Over a half century has come and gone since the Bal first lit up its marquee and with decades of multiplex mania dimming the Bal's lights, no one would have thought that its marquee would ever shine bright again. The BAL Theatre is being brought back to its glorious days of yester year, when going to the Bal was a special event onto itself. The all too familiar San Leandro eyesore has been transformed back into a spectacular landmark. Anyone who has driven by the BAL Theatre in the past few months knows something big is coming.
On November 14th 2009 the historic BAL Theatre in San Leandro is reopening and will premiere, the worldwide exclusive showing of "Secrets Of The Stone Tablets, in Search of Montezuma's Treasure", one of the more fantastic archaeological stories of our time. After the movie, engage in a special question and answer session and meet author, historian, and expert in ancient civilizations Servando Gonzalez, and real life treasure hunters from the Dillman family. Don't miss this special event Saturday November 14th at the "BAL Theatre" in San Leandro. This will be the first of many exciting local independent films and expos of all kinds of different genres.
