BlockMaster Security Inc. ( a leading provider of secure removable data devices, today announced its chipset BM9931, the engine of the SafeStick USB product line, including the new SafeStick SuperSonic, has been named to the National Institute's Standard and Technology's (NIST) Cryptographic Module Validation Program and is pending Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS) 140-2 certification. The pending certification further demonstrates BlockMaster Security's commitment to delivering secure high-speed performance based products to the federal marketplace.

"The FIPS validation process is rapidly moving forward and, we are confident that our products will meet the criteria to quickly achieve this certification," said Anders Pettersson, chief security officer at BlockMaster Security.
