The improvement in our merchants ability to drive new customer acquisition, improve conversion rates and boost average order size are why we are so excited about this next generation of our software
Cincinnati, OH (Vocus) October 22, 2009
D.M.insite, a company that specializes in developing and delivering ecommerce Software as a Service (SaaS) for the mail order catalog industry, today announced the launch of the new D.M.insite Mercury Platform™ (Mercury Platform). This next generation ecommerce SaaS platform is the first of its kind to give merchants control over virtually all aspects of an ecommerce site.
D.M.insite unveiled enhancements to the Mercury Platform to its current clients for the first time earlier in the month. D.M.insite provided clients with a demo that highlighted the substantial upgrade to the software’s Site Manager. Merchants using the Mercury Platform can:
- Display targeted products and offers on their home page (and any other page) based on the buying and browsing history of shoppers.
- Create several different templates for product and category pages to enhance the shopping experience and emphasize product benefits differently from page to page.
- Recognize and welcome first time shoppers based on the keyword and search engine they are visiting from, increasing the effectiveness of new customer acquisition marketing.
- Set-up, deliver and track up to a nine part email series triggered by eleven different events to entice shoppers back to the site.
The next generation of the Mercury Platform has many industry best practices built-in, such as an email preference center, rotating banner ads, advanced promotions, customer specific pricing and more. The software also includes several SEO management tools.
Merchants can take advantage of integration with many third party software providers, use Business Activity Monitoring tools to keep tabs on integrations, and import and export data directly to their site.
“The improvement in our merchants ability to drive new customer acquisition, improve conversion rates and boost average order size are why we are so excited about this next generation of our software,” said Larry Kavanagh, D.M.insite founder and CEO. “The new release of our platform also gives catalogers the ability to circumvent the need for custom development and yet still produce sites that highlight what is unique about them.”
The Mercury Platform is multitenant software deployed using Software as a Service (SaaS) model. This architecture allows the company to add new selling features directly on the platform and make them immediately available to merchants, such as new triggers for emails. The software allows users to take control of the merchandising, categories, analytics and promotional opportunities on a site without requiring costly custom development or other IT expenses. Merchants on the platform can even share page designs with each other if they choose to, creating a powerful ecommerce community.
D.M.insite develops and delivers its ecommerce Software as a Service to the mail order catalog industry. The D.M.insite Mercury Platform™ is the company’s flagship ecommerce software that gives clients unprecedented freedom to manage their own sites and grow their online business at a rate that’s more than double the industry’s average. This approach reduces the entry barriers for clients looking to launch an online store that includes all the latest selling features and built-in best practices without incurring the cost of custom software.
The company also offers D.M.insite Mercury Mail™, its email marketing software that has built in best practices for segmentation, email automation and email deliverability. Mercury Mail operates seamlessly within the Mercury Platform and as a standalone email-marketing tool.
