Champaign, IL, Store Donates Furniture and Hosts Viewing Party At Ashley Furniture HomeStore
Champaign, IL (PRWEB) October 22, 2009 -- When the hit ABC television show "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" came to Champaign, IL, to build one of their signature new homes for an area family, a local Ashley Furniture HomeStore proudly pitched in to help. The store supplied virtually all of the home furnishings for a local family's new home in Philo, IL. To celebrate the unveiling of the new home on the Sunday, October 25 episode of "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition," the Champaign Ashley Furniture HomeStore, along with local ABC affiliate WICD-TV and WIXY Radio, is throwing an official premiere party.
Nathan Montgomery, his wife Jenny and their four children from Philo, IL. were chosen as recipients of an "Extreme Makeover" home because of their generous volunteer work in the Champaign area. Nathan, a former engineer, gave up his lucrative career to found "Salt and Light," a mission project that feeds hundreds of needy families each week in the Champaign area.
Mike and Sheila Bruegge, owners of the Champaign Ashley Furniture HomeStore, volunteered to donate virtually all of the furnishings for the new home. With the exception of a couple of pieces that were custom built, every piece of furniture, wall accessory and accent piece came from Ashley Furniture HomeStore.
Fans of the show and friends of the store are invited to attend the viewing party, which will include special giveaways and deals. Tickets are free, but the supply is limited. Tickets will be available at the store starting at 10am on Thursday, October 22, with a limit of four tickets per person. The party starts at 5pm on Sunday, October 25, with the show airing at 8 p.m. EST/7 p.m. CST on ABC. A live pre-show with local ABC affiliate WICD-TV will start taping at the store at 6 p.m. CST.
