Moravia Worldwide, a leading globalization solution provider, announced today further expansion of its business global solutions team and the appointment of two key roles in its North American operations. Mr. Rustin Gibbs has joined Moravia as Solutions Architect, and Mr. Daniel Johnson has joined the company as Senior Business Development Manager. Rustin will be based in Bothell, Washington and Dan in Portland, Oregon.
Rustin Gibbs began his career in the localization industry in 1997 as a tester of Japanese double-byte character set (DBCS) enablement at EnCompass Globalization. During his career, he held various roles in testing, engineering, project management, and operations management with both product companies and localization service providers. Prior to Moravia, Rustin held the role of Localization Engineer with Microsoft Corporation, and served as Solutions Architect with SDL and Lionbridge.
"Rustin's expertise in localization best practices and broad exposure to varied disciplines in the localization industry makes him an ideal fit for the Solutions Architect role at Moravia. During his early tenure, Rustin has already made an impact with key clientele," said Diane McAveeney, Director of Sales for North America. "Rustin has an acute interest in helping Moravia build out a successful consulting practice around competitive machine translation offerings for emerging internet platforms," added McAveeney.
Rustin holds a BA in Japanese from Brigham Young University and is currently working toward a Master's degree in Psychology at Antioch University in Seattle.
Dan Johnson started his career in the localization industry in 1999 at Lingo Systems in Portland, Oregon. In Dan's ten year span at Lingo Systems, Dan was a two-time President's Club award recipient, and held positions as Client Manager, Director of Sales & Marketing and most recently as Director of Integrated Solutions. Previously, Dan served in the United States Peace Corps in Nicaragua.
Dan holds a BS in Management with a concentration in Marketing and Economics from Marquette University, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and he spent a semester abroad at Ealing College, London, England studying International Economics.
