We are very excited to be living at Rice Ranch

In an impressive display of "bucking the trend" in a challenged real estate market, Rice Ranch, Orcutt's premier 580 acre master planned new home community, has logged an impressive eight sales in the past eight weeks.

The unquestionable success of the Rice Ranch community is a result of excellent pricing, attractive home designs and an outstanding community amenities, including a $10 million, 26-acre regional park featuring championship soccer fields, youth and adult baseball fields, dog parks, playgrounds, a tot lot and a picnic area. Unlike most developments, the regional park is maintained by the Parks District, not the Rice Ranch home owners association. Rice Ranch also includes approximately 350 acres of open space and preserved natural habitat and miles of walking trails.

Rice Ranch has attracted the interest of home buyers of all ages, and only two homes remain available in the community's first phases. Construction has started on a third phase of The Oaks neighborhood, and 7 of the 19 homes in the new phase have already been sold. The new phase includes both single-story and two-story designs ranging from 1,777 to 2,878 square feet, offering three to five bedrooms. Many of the two-story homes released offer views. Prices at The Oaks range from $435,000 to $565,000. All homes at Rice Ranch offer numerous cost-effective water- and energy-saving features.

"We are very excited to be living at Rice Ranch," stated Kelly Marsalek. Marsalek and her family moved into their new Rice Ranch home about six weeks ago. "This was the perfect time for us to move to a larger home. Being close to the park is wonderful for us. Our kids love playing there. And my husband loves the outdoors. He is really enjoying the hiking and walking trails that run through the community."

The last three homes in the initial release of Rice Ranch's Pine Creek neighborhood are just finishing construction and a new phase is scheduled to be released in the next several weeks. Homes at Pine Creek are all situated on quiet cul-de-sac lots and offer homesites of at least 8,900 square feet. Of the three homes remaining, two are single-story designs. Pricing starts from $590,000.
