In Xulon Press author Lynn Trivette's debut novel, Peace in the Mourning: The Love from Within ($11.99, paperback, 978-1-61579-180-4; $19.99, hardcover, 978-1-61579-181-1), a self-evaluating woman, confident of God's love, and a gentle Christian businessman are brought together under quite surprising circumstances. While on a trip to get away from Charlotte, they both come face to face deep in the mountains of North Carolina. Brought together by unforeseen circumstances, the bond between them grows into feelings neither of them have ever felt before. Mutually experiencing loss, they turn to each other's words for comfort. But when disaster strikes, will they be torn apart for good or will they find their way back to one another? Will they find the peace that they seek to settle their hearts? How will their feelings for one another affect their healing progress?
"[I want readers] to enjoy a great storyline, and if they have saddened hearts for the loss of a loved one, [I want] to help them find the peace in their hearts that they need to accept the passing and move forward with their lives," the author says of her book's poignant message. "[I want] to help people realize that true love comes from the Lord, and once they find true love through Him, they can then share that love with others."
The idea for Peace in the Mourning was given to Trivette by the Lord, who brought her talent to the forefront and allowed her to see that she needed to use it in service for Him. "I closed my jewelry and handbag store to follow His calling," she explains. "I write the words as the Lord gives them to me. I want to reach people of all ages and races and show them the love of the Lord as He wants them to know it."
