Directo announced today the expansion of its sales force in response to a growing number of unbanked workers in the U.S. Directo has been the leading provider of paycards to unbanked workers for over a decade as the partner of choice for Financial Institutions and Payroll Providers across America.

"We have reports that indicate the number of unbanked workers is on the rise," states Bob Howe, President and CEO of Directo. "The latest estimate of unbanked is 50 million and growing, and it has always been our charter to help the unbanked workers have a safe and low cost way to be paid. In response to this growth, we have recently expanded our sales force."

Directo has just opened a new Southwest office in the Dallas, Texas area. Bob Carroll has been hired as the Business Development Executive to serve this market.

"We are growing again in another key market as our customer base continues to expand and Bob has the vast experience in helping financial service providers and employers support the non-banked worker," said Jim McCarthy, Sr. Vice President. Bob's career at Western Union (NYSE: WU), Loomis and Bio Paycheck Secure bring a significant value to our clients in determining how to deliver services to the unbanked worker.

Directo has also expanded coverage in the North East and Central regions with additional hiring. The North East is served by the recently hired, Katie Feurer. Feurer comes with many years of experience in the financial industry. And the Central region is now served by Linda Kearns. Kearns also comes with extensive experience in the prepaid card industry.

"The Directo team is focused on being the partner of choice for our clients. To be that partner we have assembled a team with a broad knowledge in payments and committed to serving the client," said McCarthy.
