Charlottetown, PE (PRWEB) October 26, 2009
Two premium golf courses situated on Canada's East Coast have jointly announced they are joining ScreenScape, a leading Internet-based digital signage network. Green Gables Golf Club and Anderson's Creek Golf Club, both located in Prince Edward Island, will use ScreenScape to operate screens on location and to promote their courses and ancillary services through the ScreenScape Community.
Kevin Champion, General Manager of both locations noted, "ScreenScape represents a significant promotional opportunity for golf club operators. This service makes it easy and cost-efficient for us to operate our own screen display which will greet guests as they enter our pro shops, and as necessary, in other venues around the course. We are also very excited to use the ScreenScape Community to work with our partners to cross-promote product and services in other venues. At Christmas I could see us partnering with curling clubs to promote our seasonal memberships. In the summer I could see us partnering with other local tourism operators to raise the profile of our courses, or with venues across the country to promote our golf destination packages."
ScreenScape has pioneered a new approach to place-based media it calls Venue Networking. Company Founder and Chief Product Officer, Mark Hemphill, spoke on behalf of ScreenScape: "We'd like to welcome Anderson's Creek and Green Gables golf clubs to ScreenScape. The golfing community provides a great working example of how Venue Networking works. Golf club operators, large and small, can use ScreenScape for any of three main purposes: to operate their own screen displays, to promote themselves throughout the ScreenScape Community or, to make money through ad sales. By networking with their suppliers and community partners, many of whom are already members of the ScreenScape Community, these clubs can form their own dynamic marketing networks that do much more yet cost less than traditional digital signage solutions.
About Green Gables Golf Club
A scenic, ocean-side golf course, Green Gables has everything you would expect of one of the Island's top-rated links. Classic rolling greens guarded by deep bunkers, six water holes, an ever changing breeze and the dunes of PEI's famous north shore serving as a backdrop. This beautiful course was designed and built in 1939 by one of the world's most renowned architects, the late Stanley Thompson. Now, nearly seventy years later, another legend among architects has renewed the spirit of Green Gables. Thomas McBroom's redesign has blended his own unique perspective with Thompson's original concept to ensure Green Gables meets the highest standards of golfing expectations. "Two Master Minds, One Master Piece."
About Anderson's Creek Golf Club
Top among Prince Edward Island's golf courses stands Andersons Creek. A feature course in "The Greatest New Courses of Canada" by John Gordon and listed as one of the "Top 100 Courses in Canada" by the Globe & Mail, Andersons Creek is designed by acclaimed golf course architect Graham Cooke.
