LEVEL Studios, an independent digital agency, announced today that Razor USA has launched an all-new website for its popular RipStik® caster board. Powered by SWITCH (the LEVEL content management platform), http://www.ripstik.com immerses visitors in a branded RipStik experience communicated through product information, photos, videos, how-tos and an online community for enthusiasts.

Revolutionizing the ride-on toy industry, Razor USA introduced the first folding aluminum kick scooter and continues to develop innovative, ride-on products. The RipStik caster board represents the company's latest offering, blending surf, skate and snowboarding experiences into a single "carving" board. The RipStik's construction leverages a unique twisting motion to propel the rider forward without ever touching the ground.

To support the growing popularity behind the RipStik caster board and introduce the company's newest product, the RipStik AIR™ PRO, Razor wanted an online publishing platform to build and maintain the web properties for the RipStik brand. After evaluating multiple web CMS and enterprise content management solutions, Razor selected SWITCH. Based upon 4 generations of content management software developed by LEVEL, SWITCH is a content management platform used to drive digital campaigns, manage content and simplify architecture. SWITCH offers the full feature set of an enterprise CMS system, including an asset management library, template-based publishing, user role management and an advanced workflow system. More information about SWITCH is available at http://switch-cms.com.

"We needed a platform that would let us quickly develop new product sites, support integration with our existing systems and allow for globalization," explains Shelby Collopy, Web Communications Project Supervisor for Razor USA. "SWITCH enabled our internal team to design, build and implement the RipStik site in a way that it can easily interact with other Razor properties. SWITCH is also scalable enough to handle future site expansion and manage multiple sub-brands."

The site is serving static and Flash content like photos, videos and product demos through the SWITCH backend while community features are integrated through Ning, a social community management tool. In addition to the RipStik site, Razor USA plans to launch a redesigned Razor® branded site and future product microsites on the SWITCH platform.
