Holy Redeemer Christian Academy to Continue Use of Musical Mathematics Program for 2010 Academic Calendar

Private school in Milwaukee renews innovative program from Educational Dynamix for using music to teach mathematics to elementary-age children.

Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) October 28, 2009 -- Educational Dynamix, an educational services firm that focuses on the learning and development of educators and children through innovative and engaging programs and services, announced today that Holy Redeemer Christian Academy in Milwaukee, WI, will continue to use Musical Mathematics as part of their 2009-2010 curriculum. Musical Mathematics was first introduced to the students at Holy Redeemer during the 2008-2009 academic year by educational consultant Hattie Rush.

"Math is a critical part of our curriculum," explains Mrs. Rush. "Any instrument that we can introduce to increase kids' achievement in this area is a worthwhile endeavor."

Under the guidance of Mrs. Rush, Musical Mathematics has been introduced to teachers in grades K-6 for use in their daily classroom activities as well as blending into their curriculum. Based on the positive response from teachers and students in the spring semester, administrators in the school have decided to continue using the program this fall.

"The kids like it and say it makes math more exciting," concludes Mrs. Rush. "Finding enjoyment in math will ultimately help increase their academic skills in this area."

As an independent educational consultant serving schools in the Milwaukee area, Mrs. Rush has the opportunity to recommend this program to Holy Redeemer as well as several other schools where she contributes including the Harambee Community School, another private school in Milwaukee.
