Aero Component Engineering Co., a manufacturer of hoses and fittings for commercial and military aircraft has been awarded an AS9100 standards certification from the British Standards Institute of America.

This award certifies that Aero Component Engineering Company has successfully completed a rigorous series of evaluations and audits by the British Standards Institute and has been accredited with the Aerospace Standard 9100 (AS9100) certification for the manufacture of hose and hose assemblies, tubes and tube assemblies, fittings and machine parts.

The company's general manager, David W Bill said, "This is a huge advantage for us as a manufacturer. It immediately gives us first-look credibility as a source for our products to thousands of brokers and customers who look for this level of certification before they buy."

Aero Component Engineering has been in the business of supplying hoses and fittings since 1964 and is one of the largest manufacturers of hoses for the Lockheed C130 Aircraft, Bell Helicopters and Sikorsky Aircraft, though they are far from being limited to just those applications.

"Over the years, we've engineered and manufactured more than 12,000 unique parts as our extensive list of part-numbers shows," said David Bill. "We can manufacture virtually any hose assembly, Teflon, Steel or Rubber and any tube assembly, coupling or fitting for which drawings are available. In many cases we have reverse-engineered rare or out-of-production parts where drawings don't exist."
