The It's all Here. It's All Close. marketing campaign was fueled by community input. Residents and businesses cite the close proximity of educational institutions, open space, housing and entertainment as driving factors for Aliso Viejo, California's major appeal.

The campaign, promoted through an electronic brochure and video, available at the City's website (http://www.cityofalisoviejo.com), comes on the heels of Aliso Viejo's designations as a Forbes Top City and for its hot housing market. Forbes dubbed Aliso Viejo, which encompasses 7 square miles, as one of America's Top 25 Towns to Live Well thanks to its easy access to some of the state's nicest beaches along with its dynamic start-up business environment that attracts $1,246 venture capital dollars per capita. The Orange County Register in September reported Aliso Viejo being the "hottest" Orange County, California market for selling homes because homes in the City sell in less than a month.

"Based on strong planning and a collection of factors that attract business, Aliso Viejo is well positioned for robust growth and innovation," said Mayor Donald Garcia. "That's why we're promoting the City's strengths as part of a strategic marketing campaign."

Now nine years since its cityhood, Aliso Viejo has emerged as a leading Orange County locale for businesses and residents seeking an area that supports a quality lifestyle and innovative business environment. The public benefits from Aliso Viejo's proximity to major transportation corridors, major universities such as University of California, Irvine and Soka University, beaches, cultural centers and John Wayne Airport.

The City's jobs/housing balance has also encouraged healthy development of more than 5 million square feet of low and mid-rise office, research and development, high technology and light industrial space. It has positioned the City as a location of choice for entrepreneurs and leading corporations, especially in financial services, medical technology and high technology. Aliso Viejo is home to Bausch & Lomb, Eyeonics, Pacific Life, SafeGuard Enterprise, a wholly owned subsidiary of MetLife; DATAllegro, a Microsoft company; Enclarity, Avanir Pharmaceuticals Inc; Clarient; Quest Software, QLogic; Valeant Pharmaceuticals International; Smith Micro Software; and Nolet Spirits, USA among many others.

Aliso Viejo possesses lifestyle assets that encourage a strong local workforce. Recent milestones include the addition of boutique business hotel Renaissance ClubSport; the Aliso Viejo Conference Center; Aliso Viejo Aquatic Center; and a diverse and growing retail, entertainment, recreational and housing mix. The City is also near the 4,000-acre Aliso and Woods canyon wilderness park, which boasts some of the best hiking and mountain biking in Southern California.
