According to Trend CEO Andrea Di Giuseppe, "Trend has made a commitment to sustainability that inspired us to re-configure our existing collections. We have been rigorous in our efforts to innovate glass production and use post consumer recycled glass whenever possible. "

In August, Trend Q, manufactured in the US, was awarded GREENGUARD Children and Schools Certification, assuring that Trend Q contains no dangerous volatile organic emissions (VOC). Third party certification continues for all Trend materials with testing currently being done for ISO 14001 and Good Environmental Choice Australia (GECA).

Trend's commitment to reducing their carbon footprint has resulted in reducing waste by 22%, reducing water consumption by 20%, initiating energy efficiency programs at all manufacturing plants, using only 100% recyclable or compostable packaging materials, and integrating digital technology for marketing tools.

Trend is an active member of the Green Building Council and all the recycled collections contribute to LEED points in the categories of Materials and Resources, Quality of Indoor Environment and Regional Materials.
