Kidjot.com Launches New Service to Archive and Share Family Memories

Share Article

Tomorrow will anyone really care what their high school buddy ate for lunch yesterday? Today's social networks have one great flaw: they are built only for today. Kidjot.com is built on the single concept that family memories are for tomorrow, not only today.

KidJot is a new service that lets close friends and family save and share the important moments of their lives. From a child's birth, to his first day of school, to her wedding and everything in between, these moments in life are precious and worth preserving for the future.

But KidJot is more than a new take on social networking. KidJot is what forms when you combine the connectedness of Facebook, the stories of blogging, the images of photo sharing, and the history of a scrapbook. There is nothing more important in this world to parents than their children and Kidjot is designed with that in mind. Parents can easily post stories, called Jots, about their children, their spouse, and themselves. They can quickly upload photos, scanned report cards, and newspaper clippings with a simple uploader. These stories and pictures are shared privately with family and close friends without sharing them with the entire world.

Once families are connected, all of the Jots from every family will appear on one page. No more surfing around the web to multiple blogs and photo sites. No more digging through emails to find that cute picture from last Halloween. Jots are easily filtered by person or family and fully searchable.

Ten years from now, kids will be able to read a story about the day they were born. Twenty-five years from now, a mom can share her first day of school with her daughter. Fifty years from now, grandchildren can discover the history of their grandparents. Kidjot fills a niche in the market that parents need: a simple, fast, and easy way to preserve the best moments of their kids lives.

Kidjot.com is currently in public beta testing. During this beta period all new account registrations receive one free year of Kidjot's subscription service.
