Laser cutting and plastic fabrication leader Laser Excel today announced its launch of a new division, Plastic Services. The new business unit follows its acquisition of Plastic Services, Inc. of Hartland, WI. The combination of Laser Excel's current Plastics Group and Plastic Services comprises the new division. The division targets markets servicing the POP display and In-store fixture industries.
Together, the two companies will meet a wider set of customer needs and the new division has a significantly greater opportunity to grow into existing and new markets, particularly in POP displays. Its diverse menu of services includes vacuum forming, drape forming, routing, laser cutting, printing, bending, assembly and value engineering. It now offers clients the industry's largest arsenal of capabilities including vacuum forming up to 4'x8' sheets, 20 lasers, 9 multi-head routers, extensive digital and screen printing offerings and an innovative engineering group. Its ability to take a project from prototyping through completion as a single source supplier will be unmatched.
As part of the integration of the two companies, the Plastic Services Division will be headed up by Richard Kent, Laser Excel's President. Dan Esser will serve as VP Plastics Fabrication under Kent and will continue to manage the Hartland facility.
"POP industry customers are looking to us for solutions to deliver better, more cost-effective displays along with lightening-quick responsiveness," said Kent. "Our Plastic Services Division expects to revolutionize the process of plastic display production. The combination of two companies increases the value Laser Excel delivers to customers. Speed to market, capacity and cost competitiveness all are the result."
"We feel innovation is the key to success in the competitive global world in which we operate," said Esser. "We are confident the value engineering resources we possess will compliment Laser Excel's strengths, including its reputation for excellence in customer service," Esser continued. "Our 30+ years of combined experience in the plastic and POP markets allows us to provide our clients with a wide array of options to choose from, depending on project needs. We will quickly be able to drill down to a final solution, execute production and rapidly bring products to market." In an industry where speed to market is critical, the comprehensive approach Laser Excel's Plastic Services Division offers enables POP display houses, store fixture companies, manufacturers and retailers to rapidly launch new initiatives with confidence.
Laser Excel already possesses a strong sales, marketing and customer service team. Members of the team will operate in both the Green Lake and Hartland facilities. The acquisition and formation of the Plastic Services Division will significantly expand the company's addressable market and growth potential, broadening solutions it already provides in the decoration and visual markets.
Founded in the early 80's, Laser Excel built its reputation on its manufacturing ability to utilize lasers. The company's other divisions service an array of markets including promotional paper, stencils, crafts and hobbies, stationery, quilting rulers and templates and wood. It operates in three locations: Green Lake, Wisconsin, Hartland, Wisconsin and Santa Rosa, California. For more information call 800.285.6544 or visit http://www.LaserExcel.com.
