Chicago's Parc Huron Celebrates 'Topping Off'; Luxury Apartments Scheduled for Late Spring 2010 Occupancy

Parc Huron, a luxury apartment development under construction in Chicago's River North neighborhood, celebrated its "topping off" ceremony today with principals of M&R Development, RMK Management Corp., Walsh Construction, a variety of vendors, and the Chicago community.

Parc Huron (http://www.parchuron.com), a 21-story, 221-unit luxury apartment development under construction at 469 W. Huron celebrated its "topping off" ceremony today. Principals of project developers M&R Development and RMK Management Corp. joined representatives of Walsh Construction, a variety of vendors, the Chicago community and others to celebrate the traditional building industry practice that recognizes the milestone of pouring the last bucket of concrete on the top of the building.

"We're thrilled to celebrate this milestone in achieving our vision of a unique rental property that will bring a greater sense of luxury, serenity, and sustainability to the River North community," said Anthony Rossi of M&R Development. "With its relatively small number of units and intimate neighborhood location, we like to describe Parc Huron as a quiet luxury in the middle of the city."

Another word describing Parc Huron is "green." It is located across from Erie Park, will include a new 14,000-square-foot park adjacent to the building, and will be one of the few Silver LEED-certified and eco-friendly apartment buildings in Chicago.

Parc Huron is designed for urban professionals seeking a home that combines the easiness of the city (short commute to work, walking distance to the Chicago Riverwalk, shops and nightlife) with a quiet, residential feel (green space, kid-friendly and dog-friendly).
