ARMA Design, an electronic product design, development and manufacturing services company, named Arkansas resident, Keith Wheeler, vice president of engineering for the company. In this new role, Wheeler assumes leadership of ARMA Design's corporate-wide engineering and design operations.

"Keith was the ideal choice for this new position," said Alex McKay, president and CEO of ARMA Design. "Since he first connected with me over 10 years ago I have been impressed with Keith's talent, knowledge, and leadership abilities. I knew back then that he had tremendous potential." McKay also credited Wheeler for influencing ARMA's decision to open a satellite office in Arkansas. "Under Keith's guidance as general manager, our R&D Center in Little Rock has become crucial to ARMA's continued growth and success. I am confident he will be equally successful leading our entire engineering team."

An Arkansas native, Wheeler joined ARMA Design in 1996 and relocated to San Diego, but his heart remained in Little Rock. He switched to contract work for ARMA Design in 2001, so he could move his family back home and pursue an MBA at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. Wheeler rejoined ARMA in 2005 to help McKay plan and open a Research and Development Center in Arkansas. In 2006 Wheeler was named general manager for this new facility which opened in Little Rock on June 1, 2006.

Since then, Wheeler has been building the company's business in Arkansas and has recruited some of the best electronics, software and electromechanical design engineers in the state. ARMA Design's Arkansas R&D Center, currently located in downtown Little Rock, will soon be moving into larger facilities.

Wheeler lives in Little Rock, AR with his wife and two sons. He holds an MBA and bachelor's degree in computer engineering from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.
