Odyssey Networks, the nation’s largest coalition of Christian, Jewish and Muslim faith groups dedicated to building bridges of understanding through media, will stream weekly webisodes of the recently released “Torah Treasures,” beginning October 12 at http://www.odysseynetworks.org. Diva Communications produced the series in conjunction with the New York Board of Rabbis, a member of Odyssey Networks.

“Torah Treasures” - illustrated with animated drawings and narrated by notable rabbis - explores the weekly Torah portion (Parasha) in terms that children (ages 5-7) can easily understand. Fifty, three-minute videos have been produced to run weekly.

Seven rabbis in the New York area appear in the web series. Narrators include Rabbi Joseph Potasnik, Executive Vice President of the New York Board of Rabbis and Senior Rabbi at Congregation Mt. Sinai; Rabbi Lisa Grushcow of Congregation Rodelph Shalom; Rabbi Diana Manber of Dayenu!; Rabbi Yaakov Kermaier of the Fifth Avenue Synagogue; Rabbi Charles Klein of the Merrick Jewish Center; Rabbi Tracey Kaplowitz, Rabbi-in-Residence at SAJES; and Rabbi Linda Henry Goodman of the Union Temple of Brooklyn.

Diva Communications received a membership grant from Odyssey Networks in 2008 to produce “Torah Treasures.”
