These are just a few of the ways the Yogurt Stop has been recognized as the best place in the area to enjoy frozen yogurt.

"When we opened Yogurt Stop in January of this year, we knew we had created a better product and overall experience than any other yogurt shop, but we never anticipated the overwhelming consumer and community response," said co-founder Misti Cooper. "The word-of-mouth buzz about this place seemed to build so quickly that we had the welcome task of keeping up with it…and then came the recognition from the media, for which we are extremely grateful."

Her partner, Marta Knittel, added, "We had the idea that in addition to being a tasty, healthful treat, enjoying frozen yogurt in a lively, social atmosphere with friends, family and neighbors would be the way to be unique. People came in and felt the vibe, of course, but when they found out they could pump the yogurt themselves and create their own treat with a big variety of quality toppings, I think we became a real discovery. They not only came back often and told their friends, but we were discovered by the media, too.

The partners are most gratified to see their dream come true, especially in the current economy. They will soon extend their special brand of hospitality to coffee and chocolate lovers, with a menu of fine, gourmet coffees and hot chocolates. In addition, they are considering a plan of limited, measured growth by developing other sites which are similar to the original in West Hollywood. "There will never be a lot of Yogurt Stop locations, because we want to retain the special qualities and superior experience that Yogurt Stop delivers all the time," Cooper concluded.

About Marta Knittel and Misti Cooper, Co-Founders
Marta Knittel is from a small town in northern California--Ukiah. Knittel moved to Los Angeles in 1989. She broke into the entertainment industry when actress Dinah Manoff hired her as her personal assistant on Empty Nest. Knittel has worked for the past 18 years on such shows and movies as All My Children and Collateral. Her last stint was as publicist for Paramount Home Entertainment. She will always have a deep love for the entertainment industry, but is grateful that she has been able to fulfill the dream of owning her own highly successful frozen yogurt business.

Misti Cooper hails from a city which still has the charm & beauty that captivates her heart, Portland, Oregon. A Beaver fan since the age of 7 she returns yearly to tailgate and spend time with her family. After moving to the Los Angeles area in 1992, Cooper worked in the entertainment industry in marketing for some of the biggest movies and television programming including Tomb Raider and America's Next Top Model, which was the inspiration behind the logo design for Yogurt Stop and the creation of the tag line PUMP IT YOURSELF! Being a student of the Course In Miracles for 14 years and an independent force her whole life, Misti Cooper always knew she would be her own boss one day and as a lover of yogurt, it was meant to be.
