Baby showers have been a practice since the 18th century, but Kolcraft Enterprises, Inc. and My Mommy Manual Blog have partnered to celebrate motherhood in Web 2.0 fashion.

On November 3 from 11 am to 1 pm CST, Kolcraft and My Mommy Manual are hosting the first ever virtual baby shower. Streaming live from St. Louis, the two mom-focused organizations have partnered together to celebrate a baby shower in 2.0 style. Pregnant with twins, My Mommy Manual's co-founder Suzanne Tucker wants to celebrate motherhood with the virtual world.

At the virtual baby shower, parents will have the opportunity to win baby gear, receive parenting tips and advice from mom authors and entrepreneurs, as well as interact with other parents. There will be a silent auction with items from Kolcraft and Artistic Sensations that will benefit Parents as Teachers. Experts will be speaking on preparing for baby, working with a Doula, and how to plan a meaningful baby shower. Special Guests, Denise and Alan Fields authors of Baby Bargains, will provide inside tips on finding the best baby deals.

The virtual baby shower will be held at http://www.ustream.tv/channel/my-mommy-manual or via Twitter at #babyshower2.0
