Salesforce.com customers can now deploy ShareSpaces, an industry leading document cloud service available within Salesforce CRM, for social content collaboration

ShareMethods (http://www.sharemethods.com) today announced the availability of ShareSpaces for AppExchange on the salesforce.com AppExchange. This industry leading document cloud service makes social content collaboration available to salesforce.com customers. Built using the Force.com platform, ShareSpaces is immediately available for test drive and deployment at http://www.salesforce.com/appexchange/. With ShareSpaces, companies can grow revenue, reduce costs, and boost team productivity.

ShareSpaces enable companies to connect everyone in the sales and marketing value chain – prospects, customers, salespeople, partners, and marketing teams – into social workspaces where they can collaborate and close more deals, faster. ShareSpaces’ three-step wizard makes it easy to set up fully brand-specific ShareSpaces by creating document categories and inviting users with defined roles for collaboration. Content can be easily copied and distributed between ShareSpaces, allowing companies and partners to create hierarchical and interconnected networks of social workspaces. ShareSpaces also include support for document versioning, workflow, and community features such as rating, reviews, and tagging; furthermore documents in ShareSpaces are directly accessible from Salesforce CRM accounts and opportunities.

GeoSpa Fitness is a prime example of the benefits that ShareSpaces for AppExchange can deliver to businesses. This global company has deployed ShareSpaces for on-demand content sharing across widely dispersed offices in Europe and South Asia including India (Bangalore, Calcutta, Hyderabad, Mumbai, and New Delhi), Italy, the Maldives, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and the United Kingdom. In addition to using the service to support sales operations, individual ShareSpaces allow the company to access documents in the cloud for senior executives, marketing teams, technical staff, design groups, regional managers, and key business partners.

“ShareSpaces for AppExchange provides a powerful solution to power our business, connecting global office locations, business partners, and vendors to collaborate, share, and manage content in a secure and controlled online environment,” said Pav Mahal, CEO of GeoSpa Fitness, a distributor of spa & fitness equipment. “ShareSpaces for AppExchange significantly decreases the time and cost associated with our work across geographies and time zones for our internal staff and partner ecosystem.”

GeoSpa’s use of ShareSpaces for AppExchange encompasses not only support for sales and marketing documents but extends to multiple areas of the business - purchase orders, invoices, design documents, and CAD drawings, for a truly comprehensive document cloud deployment. Users can access documents on-demand directly from Salesforce CRM Accounts and Opportunities, and Web2Docs allows external users to easily upload files into ShareSpaces.

“ShareMethods continues to demonstrate the power and flexibility of the Force.com platform,” said Kendall Collins, chief marketing officer, salesforce.com. “The addition of ShareSpaces to the AppExchange reflects the diverse community of applications and services available to salesforce.com customers looking for business apps in the cloud.”

“We are thrilled to launch ShareSpaces for AppExchange and to see business benefits delivered from our Salesforce CRM integrated service for customers such as GeoSpa Fitness,” said Eric Hoffert, CEO of ShareMethods. “GeoSpa attributed 12% of their sales wins, a 20% boost in efficiency for their sales team, and cost savings of eight to ten headcount from use of our solution. We look forward to delivering these benefits to more customers with the launch of ShareSpaces for AppExchange.”

ShareMethods has been recognized for its AppExchange offerings which now include ShareNow (document sharing and collaboration), ShareOffice (document creation and electronic signing on-demand), and ShareSpaces (private ad-hoc sharing spaces). ShareNow has been designated as a “Staff Pick” and AppExchange Essential by salesforce.com, and one of the Top 20 AppExchange Apps by InsideCRM. ShareSpaces for AppExchange is available immediately and is priced on a cost effective per user per month basis.
