BCT Ranks 3rd Largest Manufacturer by Print Professional Magazine

BCT was ranked third in Print Professional Magazine’s annual Top 100 Manufacturers issue. The announcement came with the publication of their October issue.

Fort Lauderdale, FL (PRWEB) November 5, 2009 -- BCT was ranked third in Print Professional Magazine’s annual Top 100 Manufacturers issue. The announcement came with the publication of their October issue.

Print Professional Magazine is “The Magazine for the Distribution and Manufacturing of Printed Products,” according to the publication’s banner.

“We were very proud to receive such a high rank,” said Peter Posk, BCT’s President. “There are many printers throughout North America, but few have the attributes we have, that distributors value. For example, BCT is wholesale to the trade only, so we do not compete with our customers. We have 60 locations located in every shipping zone throughout North America, which translates into the fastest turn times and lowest shipping costs for our customers,” Posk noted.

“Perhaps most compelling is our technological expertise. Our online procurement solution, orderprinting.comTM is the most widely used in the industry. Each plant has the expertise to set up customer sites – our turn time to get a site up and running sets the industry benchmark,” Posk explained.

“Over the past few years we have focused on interoperability with third party applications, such as ARIBA, Oracle, Four51 and Quantum. As procurement technologies have become ubiquitous across corporate America, distributors & brokers understand the real value is not to “change out” what a company is using, or add another technology to the process, but to be able to bring in technologies that can “talk to and add to” what is already in place,” Posk said. “Our open architecture systems and in-house development team allow this to happen.”

Posk went to say “we’ve become very proficient at both front end and back end integrations with these other technologies. The entire order process is streamlined and automated. Customers order all products from one site, and back end billing, tracking & reporting is all done electronically. The product is becoming a much smaller component in the entire “costing” of procurement. By allowing the reseller to focus on marketing & sales, while BCT provides the technology, production & distribution, we are truly adding value to the relationship.”
