The Barn Announces Live Music Events at The Mambo Room in La Grange, IL

The Barn, a live music promotion company based in La Grange, IL, has partnered with the Mambo Room Bar and Grill to present live music events in the 200 person capacity restaurant and bar at 25 W. Calendar. The inaugural event will be held on December 12, 2009 and will feature longtime Chicagoland favorites Mr. Blotto.

La Grange, IL (PRWEB) November 6, 2009 -– The Barn, a live music promotion company based in La Grange, has partnered with the Mambo Room Bar and Grill to present live music events in the 200 person capacity restaurant and bar at 25 W. Calendar. The inaugural event will be held on December 12, 2009 and will feature longtime Chicagoland favorites Mr. Blotto.

The evening will begin with a set of music by Little Big Fat, another Chicago based rock band, at 8 p.m. and feature two sets of Mr. Blotto's mix of original compositions and crowd-pleasing covers. This is the first club-style rock music event of this size hosted in La Grange, and both The Barn and Village organizers are excited about the prospects of adding an entertainment option to the downtown area's bustling dining and shopping district.

The Barn intends to program a series of live music events in this mold for years to come. “We can already feel the buzz around this first event, which will hopefully spillover into 2010 and beyond," said The Barn's Manager Jeff Ownby. “We're La Grange residents and it’s obvious to us why this community would embrace a top-quality nightlife option aimed at adults.”

Mr. Blotto was born in Chicago as an off-night vehicle for musicians who loved each others playing but were in different bands at the time. The only rule was that they would only play what they loved. That philosophy continues today and has led Mr. Blotto into unique musical situations.
