Tridon Industries Receives Certification from the Air Barrier Association of America

In keeping with its Vision Statement of being the leader in its industry, Tridon Industries, an installer of insulation and fire protection products, is pleased to announce that it now a Certified Air Barrier Installer.

The company received its certification through the Air Barrier Association of America (ABAA), the national voice of the air barrier industry, according to its website, http://www.airbarrier.org . As a spray polyurethane foam installer, Tridon was eligible to receive training through the organization's SPF Installer Training Course. During the three-day course, participants learn about building science, codes and standards as they pertain to air barriers; testing, audits, and proper documentation and reporting; and an overview of building enclosure construction. Participants also receive field training by installing an air barrier assembly.

According to the ABAA website, the organization's mission is "To promote the use and benefits of air barrier systems, educate the public about air barrier systems and develop a professional air barrier specialty trade and industry dedicated to the installation of effective air barrier systems in buildings on a nationwide scale" Through its efforts, the ABAA strives to raise the standard of the industry and lead it into the future in a progressive and professional way.

Tridon Industries participated in the training course in order to supplement the skills and experience the company already has as spray foam installers. It is an investment that Tridon hopes will give it an edge in the increasingly competitive marketplace.
