Nefsis v5.2 Enables Instant Video Conferencing Across Multinational Office Locations

The new software and online service release includes software-assisted, point-and-click camera set-up, support for more HD peripherals, and a user interface in 10 languages

San Diego, CA (PRWEB) November 9, 2009 -- Nefsis® announced today the commercial release of Nefsis Video Conferencing version 5.2, which makes video conferencing between business desktops, conference rooms and multinational locations easier than ever before. The new version is now available in 10 languages, and includes camera detection and software-assisted setup, which works with desktop and conference room configurations. The Nefsis approach – cloud computing and standard peripherals – along with the new features in v5.2, make it possible for any business to enjoy instant video conferencing across multinational office locations.

Nefsis works with PC-based video peripherals such as webcams, high-definition (HD) conference room cameras, and almost any audio/video input, including previously installed conference room equipment. Compared to previous generations of fixed-site, boardroom systems, Nefsis replaces a months-long installation process and proprietary equipment (MCUs/MUXs), with easy online service activation.

Building on this foundation, Nefsis version 5.2 is now available in 10 languages, including Chinese (simplified), English, Dutch, French, Canadian French, German, Italian, Russian, and European and Latin American Spanish. The new version also has several state-of-the-art improvements in assistive software technology; it automatically detects cameras and microphones, and offers illustrated prompts to select the best device. It preserves these settings, regardless of other plug-and-play USB peripherals that often change operating system settings during their own installation process.

The new release also includes an animated start tab, providing pictorial assistance to new users, prompting them through the typical online meeting process: inviting attendees, activating audio and video, and sharing applications, presentations or desktops.

The full effect of these new features makes it possible to hold instant video conference sessions from any conference room or desktop, located anywhere in the world with Internet access.

“We are pleased to deliver expanded language support, simplifying the online meeting experience for our customers with international reach. Our software-assisted setup and pictorial meeting prompts make it easy for anyone to enjoy business-quality, secure video conferencing at the click of a mouse,” said Tom Toperczer, VP Marketing, Nefsis.
