AuctionACCESS Unveils New-and-Improved Website

The AuctionACCESS website has been fully redesigned, including many important upgrades to the personalized member portal known as myACCESS, to further improve the user experience.

Birmingham, AL (PRWEB) November 9, 2009 -- AutoTec has found a way to make AuctionACCESS even easier to use.

Already a vital tool in the automotive remarketing industry that has revolutionized the dealer registration process, the AuctionACCESS website has been redesigned to provide an improved user experience.

Some of the most important upgrades were made to the personalized member portal known as myACCESS. AuctionACCESS Training Specialist Cliff Honeycutt said that, under the site's previous design, this portal had menu options organized by tabs that users didn't always notice were there. "Dealers would login to myACCESS and not know what to do next," Honeycutt said. "Some people found it disorienting."

“There are currently over 40,000 dealers using myACCESS,” Honeycutt said, “and these enhancements to the portal will help even more members take control of their AuctionACCESS membership.”
In response to customer feedback, AutoTec has done away with the tab system, replacing it with an easy-to-read menu on the left side of the screen.

"Now the navigation is more like how AuctionACCESS itself is set up," Honeycutt said. "Getting around has never been easier."

Another important enhancement to myACCESS allows members to view and upload digital versions of required documents and licenses right on their profile pages, saving them the hassle of standing in line with these documents at dealer registration, or having to make time during business hours to fax them over. The "Documents" page lets anyone with a myACCESS account upload, update or access these documents anytime they want, anywhere they want.

Members can also more easily find and adjust their myACCESS preferences, thereby keeping their AuctionACCESS membership information (such as contact info, authorized representatives and individual license information) current.

"There are currently over 40,000 dealers using myACCESS," Honeycutt said, "and these enhancements to the portal will help even more members take control of their AuctionACCESS membership."

AuctionACCESS has undergone some aesthetic changes as well. Honeycutt said the new design makes more efficient use of space with a color scheme that "matches what the dealer would see at an auction," a login area that's been placed front and center on the page for optimum visibility and a menu bar with drop-down options that give users far more navigation choices than before.

Other changes include additions to the front page like news items, icons that link to AuctionACCESS pages on various social media such as Twitter, LinkedIn and Facebook, and a security logo predominantly placed throughout to insure members that their private information is well-protected.
