The AAPC (http://www.aapc.com) launched Phase I of its new Web site today, which includes a consistent navigation, a new homepage and an entirely new "look and feel." The site content is now more personalized for both members and non-members. One of the biggest changes is that the primary navigation menu has viewers less than two clicks away from almost any page on the site.

In addition to visual changes, the AAPC has also improved the resources and content organization with a new single resources section displaying all available tools, articles and other information in one place. For example, events are now organized by topic rather than just by format, and past events are now available for download and are easier to locate. Ultimately, the site is designed to be more efficient--meaning faster page loading, navigation and downloads.

Phase II of the Web site redesign will include the ability to search for Continuing Education Units (CEUs) by vendor or type. Additionally, the member page will provide alerts and notifications, along with a more efficient online product store. Phase II improvements also include a comprehensive job center for those seeking jobs or employers looking to hire coders and for those who need help with resumes and other career information. AAPC members will find better communication tools for networking with other members.

As the AAPC transitions to the new site, it welcomes feedback from its membership and from others who visit the site. Check out the new site at http://www.aapc.com.
